About Taptonholme Care Home - Sheffield
At Taptonholme we provide a caring environment in which the 19 residents can live as independent a life as possible. We respect their age and personal dignity and do our best to create a loving and cheerful atmosphere in which they can feel safe and valued. We are small enough to provide homely and individual care, but just large enough to have all the best facilities. We encourage family and friends to visit as often as they like.
History and Management
Taptonholme is a large Victorian House situated in the delightful suburb of Broomhill. It has been modernised but still retains much of its character. It was originally opened in 1947 as a home for retired people. It is a Registered Charity which is completely independent and relies entirely upon its own resources for its funding.
Taptonholme is dual registered under the Care Homes Act 2000 and is regularly inspected by the Care Quality Commission, and their reports are available through the CQC web site or via the link on this site.
Since 2010, in order to cater for the changing needs of the elderly population the Home has been registered to include care for persons over 65 with dementia.
