Residents daughter would like to remain anonymous.

It’s now six weeks since my 97-year old mum moved into Taptonholme on an eight-week trial. This followed a recommendation from a friend and neighbour who was highly satisfied with the care which her own mum had been receiving there for almost a year.

There is a really homely atmosphere and my mum and I have both felt very warmly welcomed to ‘the Taptonholme family’. The staff are all lovely, extremely caring and they have been hugely supportive – not only of my mum but of me, too, which has been greatly appreciated! Nothing is too much trouble for them and not only do they always
greet us with a smile, they also go the extra mile.

A couple of weeks ago, a member of the District Nurse Team who’d visited my mum there assured me that we had indeed made an excellent choice of care home. She said that Taptonholme ‘runs like clockwork’ as the staff are always on the ball — monitoring and referring residents at an early stage so as to nip in the bud any potential medical problems.

Then, just a few days ago, I bumped into a retired health professional (a former nurse specialising in pain control who had been involved in my mum’s treatment some time ago). She told me that she, too, had heard very good reports of Taptonholme.

Thanks to everyone… for everything you do for your residents and their families. The reassurance of knowing how much you care and how hard you all work has made the transition, for both my mum and I, so much easier and more pleasant.
